Tony Budden is a founding partner of Hemporium, South Africa’s premier hemp company. Hemporium has been pioneering the use of industrial cannabis products since 1996 and built Africa’s first Hemp House, which is a recognised WDC 2014 project.
DR. CARMEN JAMES
Dr. Carmen James is an integrative medical doctor and health coach. She is passionate about educating and empowering people to transform their mental, physical and emotional health to truly live their best lives and believes Cannabis can play an important role in this.
DR. MANDLA MAZIZI
Dr Mandla Mazizi is a former CEO of: King Edward Tertiary Hospital, PHC Services, Emergency Medical Services, Forensic Pathology Services, Hospital and Health Support Services and Charlotte Maxeke Academy. He has also had exposure as the Sales Manager for vaccines at SmithKline Beecham and was Head of Corporate Affairs for GSK Pharmaceuticals.
DR JAKE FELICE
Jake F. Felice, ND, LMP is a cannabis author, clinician, educator and consultant whose vision is to advance the science and practical application of medical cannabis for medical and recreational markets around the world. Dr. Felice provides world class hemp and cannabis education experiences by speaking authentically about hemp and cannabis. He maintains a regular cannabis blog at drjakefelice.com.
T/DR SHARON PRICE
T/Dr Sharon Price is the founder and Co-Owner of Carol's Oil Medicinal Cannabis and has been researching and developing medicinal cannabis for fourteen years. During this time she has worked with cannabis and medical doctors treating people with various illnesses and conditions such as: cancer, asthma, Alzheimers, arthritis, HIV, Crohn's disease and many more.
NATIE FERREIRA
Natie Ferreira is a founding member and treasurer of the Cannabis Industrial Development Cooperative of the Western Cape (CIDCWC), a founding member and chairman of the Association of Compassion (AOC), the owner of Tamatie - Growing Master Growers - who we partner with to deliver advanced grow courses and a partner in Qure Labs. He has been growing Cannabis for over 25 years.
DINAKE MOTONA
Dinake Motona is an ex Air Force Pilot, an entrepreneur and a community developer. He was awarded a certificate of recognition by United Nations Volunteer program in 2003 for his contribution it socio-economic development in South Africa. He is also a leading member of the Cannabis Development Council of SA, Gauteng chapter (CDCGP)
CLARA NORELL
Clara is the owner of SHI AB - Swedish Hemp Industries, a consultancy that works with hemp fibres/stems as sustainable fossil-free innovative bio-based materials/applications for different industries. She is a structural and civil engineer, spends her time between Sweden and South Africa where she lives in Gugulethu township. She also plays a key role in the Industrial Hemp Online Conference - Innovation for a Bio-based and Fossil Free Future.
PROF NORMAN Z.NYAZEMA
Prof Norman Z. Nyazema is a clinical pharmacologist who teaches at several universities in his region including the University of Limpopo. He works in the medicines regulatory area with SAHPRA, in quality teaching, learning and research area with the SA Pharmacy Council and in nutrition with Nestle Nutrition Institute Africa. He is also a director in a pharmaceutical company.
JEFF VERLINDEN
Jeff is a Biochemist working in Separations pharmaceutical support division. He has a passion for cannabis extraction and formulation workflows along with all necessary testing analytics; to ensure the highest quality product ends up in the hands of consumers at all levels of use. He is part of the core lectures of our flag-ship 12-week Cannabis Industry 101 course and lectures in his field of expertise across numerous other Cheeba Cannabis Academy courses.
CHRISTINE NAZARENUS
Christine Nazarenus is the CEO and co-founder of our US education partner Medical Marijuana 411 who are the global leader in online medical cannabis training. Her company was awarded the best Cannabis Education award in 2020 at the Commercial Cannabis Awards supporting her vision and drive to be best in class in everything she does.
DR. ZORODZAI J.T. MAROVEKE
Dr. Zorodzai J.T. Maroveke is the Founder and CEO of the Zimbabwe Industrial Hemp Trust (ZIHT) and a pioneering figure in the Cannabis industry in Zimbabwe. Since 2015, she has been a daring, tenacious, and influential advocate for the legalization and development of Cannabis, particularly Industrial Hemp.
SNOUX POSWA
Snoux studied and worked in Germany for several years. He is now a senior executive manager at the OR Tambo Cooperative Development Centre (ORTCDC) and is responsible for Enterprise Development as deployed by the cooperative movement of the O R Tambo District. He manages the planning, implementation and coordination of sector development programmes. Snoux is the MD of the facility the OR Tambo Cooperative Development Centre, Township Cannabis Incubator, Tech Innovators Hub and the National Youth Development Agency are occupying in Mthatha with training facilities, a boardroom, several offices, four green - house tunnels, testing lab space and infra structure for an extraction plant.
